Spring & Summer Capsule Wardrobe 2020: Loft Edition

I am loving shopping Spring & Summer Capsules for my clients right now. So many sales, so little time. As usual, I was shopping for a friend, but found so many cute and affordable things for myself. You all know, I have a goal to only buy pieces I can create a minimum of three outfits out of. Loft is killing it right now and I found so may pieces that can be worn so many ways.

This capsule started with a few more shirts than I would normally buy, but the price was great and many of them can easily transition into Fall (no one wants to think about Fall, but I am working on being fiscally responsible).

1. Tiered Dress
2. Midi Dress

Spring & Summer Capsule Wardrobe 2020: Walmart Edition

Don’t break the bank building a quick Spring & Summer Capsule Wardrobe.

Eventually, we will be allowed out again, so a friend asked me to put together a Spring & Summer Capsule Wardrobe for her. Her budget is under $400! Challenge accepted.!! Walmart has upped its game recently and I found some dope pieces for an affordable price. I found 21 cute AF pieces for her and even grabbed a few for myself (obvisouly). The total cost for 21 pieces….$377! UNDER $400!

This Spring & Summer Capsule has Six Tops, Three Bottoms, Two Dresses, One Romper, Three Shoes, Two Bags, Denim Jacket, Bathing Suit, Kimono, and a hat! Check it out and let me know your thoughts!

Now to pair all these gems together, I found the outfit combos to be endless when combining tops, bottoms, shoes, and accessories. The romper and floral dress are two of my favorite pieces, I just love how with sneakers it’s super casual and then throw on wedge sandals and BOOM…outdoor dinner date ready!

For under $380 this capsule is perfect for anyone looking to add quick Spring & Summer pieces to their current wardrobe or if you are just starting to build your dream closet. My personal goal is always to buy pieces that create AT LEAST three outfits and this capsule does that and more.

Thanks for hanging out with me! Happy Shopping

B’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Picks

The sale I wait all year for is here. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018! I woke up at 5:30 AM to shop this amazing sale, yes, I am crazy…dedicated, but indeed crazy. I guess Nordstrom didn’t expect all its loyal shoppers to wake that early, the website crashed very early into my shopping adventure. By early afternoon the glitch had been fixed and Nordstrom sent out a lovely email awarding early access shoppers 10x’s the points July 12th and 13th.

Early access is available through July 19th. July 20th sale opens to the public through August 5th. You still have time to take advantage of early access by signing up for a Nordstrom Card Here.

The thought of Fall mid Summer is super depressing, but I use this sale to stock up on my Fall basics. Let’s get shopping. Here is what I picked up on my first round of shopping. Let’s not tell Dave there will be multiple rounds of shopping.

Layering Tee’s – I’ll start wearing these guys in the Summer and layer them right through the Fall

Gibson Blouson Sleeve Cozy Pullover – again…”cozy” in the name….add to cart. Comes in 6 colors, under $36. I went with pink smoke, but there’s a Blue Surf I will 99.9% go back for.

Caslon Ruched Sleeve Pullover – I don’t own a ton of black, but the ruched sleeve on this is too cute to pass up and I needed a staple black sweater for the Fall  & Winter. Comes in 4 other colors, under $33.

Cardi’s and Tunics – Every Fall I search for Tunic’s and Cardigans to fall in love with. High hopes for these gems.

All types of heart eye emojis when I hear Old Navy is having 40% off in-store! On my last adventure, I picked up cute Spring/Summer pieces. Splurge vs. Save – Sorel Boots

I’ve been eyeing these Sorel boots for weeks. Normally I would order these beauties and not think twice , however, this year Dave and I are looking to move into a new, bigger apartment….which means I have to pay more attention to what I am spending. A good compromise is finding the look for less, right? If I spend less than half, I am saving money! At least that is what I tell myself.

On my hunt to find Sorel look-a- like boots, I found three dupes. Two under $50 and one under $100. Sounds like a win to me! I LOVE finding the look for less!

Check out the look for less here:

Sorel Boots $180

Daviccino from Overstock $49

Merona from Target $45

Pacific Mountain from DSW $90

You can’t go wrong with any of these budget friendly options. I’m off to order mine!

Happy Shopping!!

2018 Bucket List

I’m a few days late on my bucket list review. I’m not one for New Year’s Resolutions. I’ve made and broke enough of those to not trust myself with nonsense like that.

A few years ago I decided to start a bucket list instead of making New Year’s Resolutions.I use this bucket list journal to document my memories. My son will have to read these memories to me when I am 100 years old and batty!

My number one bucket list item:  Travel some place new every year. Growing up my Grandmother wouldn’t fly, so we drove from NY to Orlando, Florida every year and spent 2 weeks in Disney World. I love Disney, have amazing memories there, been there  20 plus times (lost count after a while), and will happily return, but I knew there was a great big world out there and I hadn’t seen it. Since then, I’ve been to Miami, Boston, Rhode Island, Vegas, St, Thomas, Bermuda, Barbados, Curacao,  Aruba, St. Kitts, Mexico, and last year I took the most amazingly beautiful two and a half week trip to Italy. I spent a week in Sorrento with my job and then 10 days driving the Amalfi coast, then across Italy to Bari, where Dave’s family is from. I’ll post more on that later.  I truly believe you learn more traveling than you ever will from a text book.

My bucket list looks something like this, no particular order

  1. Compete in Iron Man before I turn 40 (really should get moving on this one)
  2. Go Sky Diving
  3. Fly an F-16…this one will probably never happen, as I have horrible motion sickness
  4. Run a full marathon
  5. Go to Bora Bora and stay in an over water bungalow
  6. Go to Verona and see Juliet’s Balcony
  7. Learn another language
  8. Visit a new State, City, Island, and/or Country every year
  9. Get Beach Body Certified and Open a gym (this one made it on here when I used to work out 3 hours a day, should really start doing that again)
  10. Get Bachelors Degree
  11. Better control of my finances ( I would spend my last dollar on lipstick)
  12. Try something new every month
  13. Hike in a Rain Forrest
  14. Eat in The Grotto in Polignano A Mare
  15. Start a Blog
  16. Zip line

I’ve been lucky enough to check a few of these items off, in 2015 I Hiked a Rain Forrest in San Juan & Zip lined over Rain Forrest in St. Kitts, last year I ate in The Grotto Restaurant while in Polignano vacationing, I started a blog, and I’ve been visiting a new place every year since I started this list.

This year, I added “try something new every month”. January I will be learning calligraphy and/or hand-lettering…or at least try to.. My handwriting is awful, so this should be interesting. I’ll keep you posted on how this goes.

My Top Budget Friendly Nordstrom Picks

I spent most of Saturday personal shopping for a friend online at Nordstrom.com. It was a whopping 3 degrees in New York,  I made a good life choice by staying in, under the covers, watching Fixer Upper,  and shopping!

In my trip down the online shopping worm whole, I came across some the cutest budget friendly Nordstrom finds. My “client”..AKA Best Friend might like budget friendly finds even more than me, so she ordered almost everything I sent her way. I ended up ordering a few of these items for myself…  Which led me to add a Goal to my 2018 Goal list: when shopping for others, I don’t need to buy one for me too. I’m a realist, so I know I’m basically setting myself up for failure on that one.

Budget Friendly Finds

Shop these items here:

BP. Ombre sweater – Under $38 and this sweater is so cozy and warm. I own it in burgundy and will most likely snag it in gray too!

Ugg Elora Bootie – Under $105! Nordstrom is having an awesome Ugg sale, now is the time to pick up a pair of these bad boys.

Carlson Side Tie Pullover – Under $40, side ties, and comes in Pink…you know I’m sold. This cutie also comes in olive, navy, and solid black

Carlson Peplum Tee – Under $26. I love this under the BP Ombre Sweater or on own. Comes in 3 other colors, but you know I ordered in pink for myself!

Gibson Twist Front Tee – $49 and worth every penny. I have this puppy in oatmeal and wear it all the time. Love that it will transition right into Early Spring…which is only 53 days away. I’ll grab in coral too, but it comes in 14 colors

BP. Stripe Sweater – Stripes are my fave. This sweater is just too cute and only $45!

1822 Denim Butter Jeans – The name of these guys DOES NOT disappoint, they are literally like wearing butter, not that I’ve worn butter, but if I did…I bet it would fee like these. Best part, they are only $39!! True to size, 27 is my usual size and they fit great.

Kut from the Kloth Donna Skinny Jeans – Another pair of jeans for under $40. Kut from the Kloth is one of my favorite brands. These cuties come in olive and wine.

Vince Camuto Francia Booties – Vince is a good man and never fails me. Under $75 and comes in two awesome colors ~ Foxy & Sedona

BP. Rose Gold Clutch – Under $13 – need I say more?

Kut from the Kloth faux suede jacket – Under $45 and comes in 6 colors. Cute layering piece, especially with the cold weather we have going on right now!

Hope you enjoy some of my budget friendly finds!
